Editing is finally complete on Australian dark electro duo SHIV-R's debut video for the song "The End": taken from the album "Hold My Hand".
In scenes reminiscent of Clive Barker's seminal "Hellraiser", the video for "The End" tells the story of a girl lured by her own curiosity into SHIV-R's sinister world: and her subsequent transformation into the helpless plaything of demonic overlord Virul3nt!
Boasting the same superb production-quality as SHIV-R's music, the video contains imagery of bondage, bloodshed and torture - and is thus not suitable for children or those of a nervous disposition!
"Hold My Hand" is out now on Infacted (Europe), Metropolis (US): and on DWA (Asia-Pacific) in a special Japan-only digipak edition featuring 4 exclusive bonus tracks including remixes by SOMAN, XP8 and REAPER!

Blackfield Festival is here: and with it your chance to catch XP8 and AESTHETIC PERFECTION live onstage in Germany, alongside the likes of FRONT 242, UNHEILIG and COVENANT.
AESTHETIC PERFECTION are playing at 13:40 on Saturday June 12th: with XP8 opening the second day of the festival at 12:00 on Sunday June 13th.
Earlier this year of course, we produced *the definitive collector's editions* of both AESTHETIC PERFECTION's "A Violent Emotion" (featuring a fantastic remix by GRENDEL) and XP8's "Drop The Mask": the XP8 release so packed full of extras (21 bonus tracks!) that we had to turn it into a 2CD, there was just too much good music to leave out...
Both these beautiful digipak packages can be obtained direct from our webshop:
DWA920 - AESTHETIC PERFECTION - A Violent Emotion - Japanese Limited Digipak Edition
DWA101 - XP8 - Drop The Mask - Japanese 2CD Limited Digipak Edition
In co-operation with our Belgian Partner Alfa-Matrix, we have put together a truly awesome Asian-Pacific edition of the debut album of Estonia's FREAKANGEL.
Mixed and mastered (both CDs!) by Jan L (NOISUF-X), the DWA Japanese 2CD Limited Edition of "the Faults Of Humanity" comes packed with 17 bonus remixes: including FGFC820, SHIV-R, C-LEKKTOR and Japanese acts 2 BULLET and GOTHIKA!
Artwork is naturally of the highest calibre too: provided by none other than leading industrial music designer UserDX (HOCICO, SOMAN, ICON OF COIL, DWA919: GRENDEL, DWA105: MENSCHDEFEKT, DWA111: SHIV-R, DWA110: SUICIDAL ROMANCE).
Combining hard electronics and guitars, FREAKANGEL is the dark and dirty industrial opposite of frontman Dmitry’s well-known electro-pop project SUICIDAL ROMANCE (DWA110: Shattered Heart Reflections). Where SUICIDAL ROMANCE are sweet, FREAKANGEL sicken. Where SUICIDAL ROMANCE seduce the listener’s ear, FREAKANGEL rapes it and tears it apart.
At the end of 2009, FREAKANGEL were the #1 choice of nearly 700 international DJs when those DJs were asked to vote for the newcomer act they would most like to see signed to Alfa Matrix.
Although still a new act, FREAKANGEL has already remixed UNTER NULL (DWA106: Moving On) and both AYRIA and ARMAGEDDON DILDOS for Alfa Matrix’s best-selling “Endzeit Bunkertracks V” compilation album.
The band’s live debut (2010/02) was opening for the legendary COMBICHRIST in FREAKANGEL’s native Estonia.
DWA’s Japanese 2CD Limited Edition of “The Faults Of Humanity” comes with an additional 17 bonus tracks - 12 exclusive to this edition - for the same price as a 1CD!
CD1 includes
- 4 exclusive Japan-only remixes from American electro-industrial act FGFC820 (DWA905: Law & Ordnance), new Canadian harsh-EBM outfit DETROIT DIESEL (DWA117: Terre Humaine), UK industrial-metal band CEDIGEST (DWA/NoiTekk, DWA112: Walking In The Flesh), and Australian hard dance production team STUDIO-X (DWA/Alfa-Matrix).
Japan-only CD2 “The Deviations Of Divinity” features
- 5 remixes by Australian dark electro duo SHIV-R (DWA/Infacted, DWA111: Hold My Hand), Mexican harsh-EBM masters C-LEKKTOR (DWA/Cop International, DWA102: Tendencias Suicidas), Russian EBM-act DE:SOURCE, plus the Japanese electro-industrial acts 2 BULLET and GOTHIKA.
- 8 specially-commissioned Japan-only remixes from ACYLUM (DWA/Alfa-Matrix, DWA 104: The Enemy), NEIKKA RPM (Alfa Matrix), PREEMPTIVE STRIKE 0.1 (Infacted), ES23 (Infacted), MENSCHDEFEKT (DWA/Infacted, DWA105: The Human Parasite), SYNDROME x209, LA MAGRA and YADE.
The first 100 units only of “The Faults Of Humanity” are presented in collector’s limited edition 6-panel digipak format, with artwork redesigned by DWA from UserDX’s original designs.

Courtesy of our latest European partner ProNoize/Dark Dimensions, DWA is proud to unleash Asia-Pacific editions of the latest hard dance titles from SAM and NOISUF-X
SAM return with their awesome 3rd album "Brainwasher", packed with death-rave anthems, intelligent dialogue samples and polished production: mastered by Kolja Trelle of SOMAN.

full details over on our "pre-orders" page..!
Currently rocking the Kinetik Festival in Montreal, alongside DWA stablemates FGFC820, UNTER NULL, TACTICAL SEKT and KOMOR KOMMANDO, DETROIT DIESEL came to the attention of DWA via their outstanding remix competition entry for XP8's "Drop The Mask".
So impressed were we by that remix, that we asked immediately for a demo. And so impressed were we by that demo, we just had to give them a contract!
A special remastered edition of their self-released debut "Terre Humaine" will be coming soon on DWA, complete with 2 previously unreleased extra tracks...
Based on sales of CDs bought directly from our online store so far this year, this is the current Top Ten of DWA titles.
AESTHETIC PERFECTION and XP8 are almost neck-and-neck at the top, with C-LEKKTOR just behind. However, storming into the chart at #4 is SHIV-R, released only this weekend: but which has already outsold the likes of GRENDEL, released back in January...
With expectation high here of an imminent (and similarly high) new entry on the trend-setting German Alternative Charts (DAC) for the European release of "Hold My Hand" on Infacted, the future looks very bright indeed for SHIV-R...

DWA 112 - CEDIGEST ‘Walking In The Flesh - Japanese Limited 2CD Edition'
Released in Europe 2/26 by NoiTekk, CEDIGEST’s ‘Walking In The Flesh’ is the debut album from this exciting new UK industrial metal act.
Combining the brutal beats and harsh programmed electronics of Terror-EBM with both classical and death metal influences, CEDIGEST has succeeded spectacularly at something that acts like PSYCLON NINE and DAWN OF ASHES could only dream of: a perfect fusion of styles resulting in a sound that genuinely crosses genre boundaries: ‘Symphonic Industrial Metal’.
DWA is now proud to present an amazing Japanese Limited Edition of ‘Walking In The Flesh’ complete with a Japan-only bonus CD2 ‘Falling In The Spirit’: mastered by the legendary Jan L of NOISUF-X!

…both naturally featuring exclusive Japan-only bonus tracks, re-designed artwork and limited first editions in collector’s 6-panel digipak!
SUICIDAL ROMANCE is a dark electro-pop act from Eastern Europe, featuring powerful male and female vocals combined with strong dance production and visual aesthetics.
Since forming in 2006 SUICIDAL ROMANCE have played live across Europe, including performances at some of Europe’s largest dark music festivals such as Wave Gotik Treffen in Germany and Summer Darkness in Holland.
This great-looking trio’s 2nd full album ‘Shattered Heart Reflections’, expertly produced by Vasi Vallis (REAPER, FROZEN PLASMA), is their strongest work to date: released in Europe on Infacted Recordings (5/07), in the USA by Metropolis (5/25) and in Asia-Pacific by DWA (5/08).
Frontman Dmitry’s low snarling vocals contrast perfectly with female singer Viktoria’s operatic style, over pounding yet melodic electropop sounds.
‘Shattered Heart Reflections’ is an uplifting collection of songs, many of which would not sound out of place on commercial radio.
Exclusive bonus tracks for DWA’s Japanese Limited Edition include remixes from STUDIO-X (Alfa Matrix) and FGFC820 (DWA/NoiTekk).
Already known in Japan for their remixes of BLOOD and GPKISM, Australian duo SHIV-R are a new force in the field of dark electronic music.
Debut album ‘Hold My Hand’, mastered by Kolja Trelle (SOMAN), is released in Europe on Infacted Recordings (4/23), in the USA by Metropolis (5/25) and in Asia-Pacific by DWA (5/15).
SHIV-R’s work is defined by haunting, neo-classical melodies fused with harsh percussive club sounds and eerie synth textures: ‘industrial analogue darkness’!
In contrast to the distorted vocals favoured by many dark electro acts, SHIV-R employs clean and powerful male vocals, delivered in shouts and whispers.
Although still a new artist, SHIV-R’s powerful production style has already led to heavy demand for their remixing skills.
Their most recent remixes include X-DIVIDE (Infacted), and fellow DWA-acts XP8 (DWA 101: Behind The Mask) and UNTER NULL (DWA 106: Moving On).
Exclusive bonus content for DWA’s Japanese Limited Edition includes the original tracks ‘Requiem’ and ‘Clear Thoughts’ not found on any other version of the album, plus a remix from XP8.
Design for both releases comes from the hand of renowned graphic artist UserDX, and the first 100 copies of both titles are offered in limited edition Japan-only 6-panel digipak.
XP8 and C-LEKKTOR packages: out now!
Out in stores now, these 2 stunning packages for XP8 and C-LEKKTOR.
XP8's CD1 already features 4 exclusive remixes from FADERHEAD, SYSTEM SYN, FGFC820 and ROTERSAND: but the Japan-only CD2 comes fully-loaded with another 14 remixes, plus 3 tracks from XP8 themselves...and all of this content either completely exclusive, or previously unavailable on CD.
With an 8-page booklet redesigned from the original artwork, the first edition of 200 copies of this amazing set comes in a Japan-only 6-panel collector's digipak.
C-LEKKTOR's storming 'Tendencias Suicidas' (mixed and mastered by Jan L of NOISUF-X/X-FUSION) comes in an expanded version featuring an additional remix from DYM (NoiTekk), with the entire tracklist sandwiched between specially composed intro and outro 'In Pain' and 'Out Pain'.
The Japan-only expanded 8-page booklet seamlessly blends previously unpublished photos with the existing designs to create a unique souvenir, and the first edition of 100 copies of course comes in a Japan-only 6-panel collector's digipak.
UNTER NULL: Moving On
It has been 5 long years since the release of UNTER NULL’s massively-successful debut album ‘The Failure Epiphany’ (2005: Alfa-Matrix) announced the arrival of classically-trained American artist Erica Dunham to the underground electronic music scene.
Released in Europe by Alfa-Matrix (2010/02) and Japan by DWA (2010/04), ‘Moving On’ is the long-awaited follow up.
Delayed by a year after fire destroyed the UNTER NULL studio, the aptly-titled ‘Moving On’ is an aggressive and introspective album that incorporates punk energy and the dance beats of EBM: engineered by industrial music legend Claus Larsen (LEAETHER STRIP).
From melodic moments to violent noise, the music of ‘Moving On’ encompasses a variety of influences: from industrial to classical music, from black metal to IDM.
Since 2005, UNTER NULL has been remixed by an impressive ‘who’s who’ of the industrial scene - including GRENDEL, AESTHETIC PERFECTION, HEIMATAERDE, MANUFACTURA, and TERRORFAKT – while UNTER NULL tracks and remixes have been featured on a host of major compilation albums including all 5 instalments of the best-selling Endzeit Bunkertracks series.
In May 2010, UNTER NULL appears live at the major industrial music event Kinetik Festival in Canada, prior to a full American tour.
The exclusive Japan-only CD2 (‘re:moved’) features
- 8 specially-commissioned remixes from XP8 (DWA/Infacted Recordings, DWA 101: Drop The Mask), C-LEKKTOR (DWA/COP International, DWA 102: Tendencias Suicidas), SHIV-R (DWA/Infacted Recordings, DWA 111: Hold My Hand), genCAB, CERVELLO ELETTRONICO, CEDIGEST (DWA/NoiTekk, DWA 112: Walking In The Flesh), SUNAO INAMI, BAKI-SHO-JI
- 8 tracks from Alfa-Matrix’s own European CD2 and ultra-limited CD3: ‘Monster’ plus remixes by ACYLUM (DWA/Alfa-Matrix, DWA 104: The Enemy), ALIEN VAMPIRES (Alfa-Matrix), SIVA SIX (DWA 901: Rise New Flesh), DYM (NoiTekk), FREAKANGEL (Alfa-Matrix), ESSENCE OF MIND (Alfa-Matrix) and HEX RX
The first edition of DWA’s Japanese release of ‘Moving On’ comes in 2CD digipak format, strictly limited to 200 copies, with artwork redesigned by DWA from the Alfa-Matrix original.

Released in Europe at the end of 2009 on OBSCENITY TRIAL frontman Oliver Wand’s new label Remote Music, EUROCIDE’s second album ‘Regen aus Asche’ has just spent 8 weeks in the ‘Top 10’ of the German Electronic Web Charts (GEWC).

MENSCHDEFEKT: confirmed tracklist/pre-order
Already familiar to followers of DWA from their remix of AESTHETIC PERFECTION’s ‘Schadenfreude’ (DWA 920: A Violent Emotion), MENSCHDEFEKT are the new European messiahs of harsh EBM.
Released simultaneously by Infacted Recordings in Europe and DWA in Japan – with a US release on Metropolis scheduled for May – MENSCHDEFEKT’s official debut ‘The Human Parasite’ is a strong contender for harsh EBM album of the year: relentlessly brutal beats and violently-distorted vocals, mastered by the legendary Jan L of NOISUF-X/X-FUSION (DWA 909: INFACTED ASIA, DWA 901: SIVA SIX, DWA 102 C-LEKKTOR).
On the artwork front, MENSCHDEFEKT’s savage vision of a parasitic human society is perfectly illustrated by top industrial designer UserDX (HOCICO, SOMAN, ICON OF COIL, DWA 919: GRENDEL – Chemicals + Circuitry).
First started as a solo project by German programmer Dominik R, MENSCHDEFEKT self-released several instrumental albums before winning a remix competition for AESTHETIC PERFECTION in 2008: after which MENSCHDEFEKT’s public profile swiftly soared.
In 2009 MENSCHDEFEKT became a duo, with the addition of Swedish vocalist and lyricist Fredrik C.
The track ‘Stalingrad’ was soon featured on the popular compilations ‘Interbreeding X’ (BLC Productions) and ‘Endzeit Bunkertracks: Act IV’ (Alfa-Matrix), and quickly began to receive heavy club play around the world: bringing MENSCHDEFEKT to the attention of both DWA and Infacted Recordings.
In addition to 12 tracks taken from the standard European and US editions, DWA’s Japanese Limited Edition of ‘The Human Parasite’ also features specially-commissioned remixes from ACYLUM (DWA/Alfa-Matrix, DWA 104: The Enemy), FGFC820 (DWA/NoiTekk, DWA 905: Law & Ordnance), C-LEKKTOR (DWA/COP International, DWA 102: Tendencias Suicidas) and ES23 (Infacted Recordings): making an incredible-value 79-minute CD.
The first 100 copies of DWA’s Japanese Limited Edition come in collector’s 6-panel digipak redesigned from UserDX’s original artwork.
'The Human Parasite - Japanese Limited Edition' will be released in Japan on April 17th 2010, priced at 2,500 JPY.
Pre-ordered copies will ship around April 3rd 2010.

The first of DWA's confirmed releases for April comes from Chemnitz, via our Belgian partner Alfa-Matrix!
East German act ACYLUM’s powerful 3rd album ‘The Enemy’ was the standout dark electro release from leading European label Alfa-Matrix in 2009.
6 months later, DWA is proud to present the Japanese Limited Edition of ‘The Enemy’: complete with a Japan-only bonus CD2 ‘Deathwish’, featuring 5 previously unreleased remixes and a brand new original track!
Since 2004, ACYLUM has built a formidable reputation as a remixer for the likes of SOMAN, FGFC820 (DWA 905: Law & Ordnance), STEREOMOTION and WYNARDTAGE: and most recently for UNTER NULL (DWA 106: Moving On) and MENSCHDEFEKT (DWA 105: The Human Parasite).
ACYLUM tracks and remixes have been featured on a host of major compilation albums including the latest instalments of the best-selling Endzeit Bunkertracks (v.5) and Extreme Sündenfall (v.9) series.
Formed in 2004 as the solo project of Pedro Engel, use of some provocative samples on the 2005 debut album ‘Your Pain’ stirred controversy in ACYLUM’s native Germany: while the assured follow-up ‘Mental Disorder’ (2007) drew comparisons with the early works of :WUMPSCUT: and SUICIDE COMMANDO, and brought ACYLUM a contract with Belgian-based label Alfa-Matrix.
For ‘The Enemy’, ACYLUM has turned into a duo: as singer Nadine teams up with Pedro to add female vocals to ACYLUM’s most accomplished release to date.
The hammering beats and distorted vocals of harsh EBM collide with ACYLUM’s trademark orchestral arrangements and provocative lyrics to create a devastating power noise assault: dramatic, heavy and intense.
For the Japanese release of ‘The Enemy’, DWA has created a Japan-only CD2 combining
- the previously unreleased track ‘Deathwish’
- 5 specially-commissioned remixes from VIGILANTE (DWA/Black Rain, DWA 917: Life Is A Battlefield), Osaka-based DJ Taiki’s DIABOLIC ART, Australia’s STUDIO-X (Alfa Matrix), CEDIGEST (DWA/NoiTekk, DWA 112: Walking In The Flesh) and A INDUSTRYA
- PHOSGORE (ProNoize) and XENTRIFUGE (NoiTekk) remixes previously available only in digital format
- 5 tracks from Alfa-Matrix’s own European CD2: PREEMPTIVE STRIKE 0.1 (Infacted Recordings), DYM (NoiTekk), FGFC820 (DWA/NoiTekk), F.O.D. (Out Of Line) and MISANTROP & NERVEBREAKER.
The first 100 units of this unique 2CD package are presented in 6-panel digipak format, with artwork redesigned by DWA from the Alfa-Matrix original.

C-LEKKTOR: Tendencias Suicidas!
For all fans of HOCICO and GRENDEL!
We are pleased to welcome the sensational Mexican harsh EBM band C-LEKKTOR to DWA. Maximum electronic aggression!
‘Tendencias Suicidas’ is the first release from C-LEKKTOR since their acclaimed 2008 debut ‘The Silence Procession’ (COP International: US/Europe, Gravitator: Russia) announced their arrival on the world industrial music scene.
Creating brutal harsh dance music in the vein of fellow Mexicans HOCICO and AMDUSCIA, C-LEKKTOR have remixed leading acts like SUICIDE COMMANDO and FGFC820 (DWA 905: Law & Ordnance), and have appeared live in both North and South America plus their native Mexico, opening for such bands as GRENDEL and HOCICO.
Like ‘The Silence Procession’, C-LEKKTOR’s new ‘Tendencias Suicidas’ EP is again powerfully mixed and mastered by Jan L (NOISUF-X/X-FUSION): and in addition to 4 brand new tracks features remixes from the likes of FGFC820 and ALIEN VAMPIRES.
The specially-extended DWA Japanese Limited Edition of ‘Tendencias Suicidas’ adds 3 new and exclusive tracks in the form of a specially composed intro (‘In Pain’), outro (‘Out Pain’) and previously unreleased remix by DYM: all again mastered by Jan L.
The expanded artwork of the DWA Japanese Limited Edition features previously unpublished photos of C-LEKKTOR, presented in Japan-only 6-panel digipak format, plus Japan-only 8-page booklet.

Since their 2005 debut for Infacted Recordings ‘Hrs:Min:Sec’, XP8 have been making a name for themselves across Europe and the US with their danceable music and energetic live performances - including major scene festival Wave Gotik Treffen in Germany, and a US tour in 2008 - and as remixers for the likes of ICON OF COIL and DOPE STARS INC. (DWA 908: Criminal Intents/Morning Star).
XP8’s 2nd album ‘The Art Of Revenge’ (2008) peaked at number 5 on the DAC (German Alternative Chart) and hit number 1 on the DUC (Dutch Underground Chart) - with the accompanying promo video of the title track receiving heavy rotation on Italian TV, and reaching number 1 on Music Box in October 2008.
Of course filled with more of the crowd-pleasing club-friendly tracks for which XP8 is renowned, the new album ‘Drop The Mask’ also runs the gamut from electronica to electro-clash: making for a release that will not only satisfy XP8’s many existing fans, but will surely bring them many more around the world.
The album is given an added twist by featuring the collaboration of such leading scene figures as FADERHEAD, C-DRONE-DEFECT, and AESTHETIC PERFECTION (DWA 920: A Violent Emotion).

XP8: Drop The Mask - Japanese Limited Edition
2009 has been an amazing and exhausting year here at DWA: with the release of an unprecedented number of unique Japanese editions, and the addition of some fantastic artists to the DWA roster.
2010 dawns with 2 massive new releases from GRENDEL and AESTHETIC PERFECTION: but of course there is still so much more to come...
Beginning with the signing of Italian scene-legends XP8!
The regular edition of XP8's new album will be released simultaneously by Metropolis and our partner Infacted Recordings in Europe.
We are now confirming final details of a very special Japanese Limited Digipak Edition, scheduled for release shortly after!
JABBERWOCK: Sweet Limbo/Jabberwock
Now on general release is the unique DWA 2CD edition of French electro-punk outfit JABBERWOCK's 'Sweet Limbo'.
JABBERWOCK is a unique and powerful rising force in the European alternative music scene, playing in July 2009 at the Dark Castle Festival in Paris with DIARY OF DREAMS, ALIEN VAMPIRES, AGONOIZE and SUICIDE COMMANDO.
Many acts claim that their music has a variety of influences, but few are able to mix those influences into something fresh and individual as effectively as this female-fronted French electro-punk 3-piece.
With their stunning second album ‘Sweet Limbo’, JABBERWOCK have created a work of incredible depth and diversity.
Yet it is also one where no track sounds out of place, and where every song sounds like JABBERWOCK – even the cold and sinister cover of CHIC’s ‘Le Freak’.
Danceable electro-clash that reminds of PZYCHOBITCH, high-tempo digital hardcore elements of ATARI TEENAGE RIOT, down-tempo melancholic guitar and bass – ‘Sweet Limbo’ is an amazing mix of alternative-music trends from gothic to industrial, from indie-rock to electro.
And all with perfectly polished production.
With the satirical lyrics of songs like ‘Obsolete’ and the frantic ‘Faster’, and their smart suits, JABBERWOCK mock the meaningless modern lives of the average office worker.
The unique music of ‘Sweet Limbo’ is complemented perfectly by a beautiful 16-panel booklet full of beautiful and surreal cartoon illustrations of the strange world of JABERWOCK: where ‘Every day = confusion’.
As a special bonus, DWA’s Japanese Limited Edition of ‘Sweet Limbo’ comes with the band’s debut album ‘Jabberwock’ as a 2nd CD. Packed with a further 10 tracks plus 5 remixes, ‘Jabberwock’ is an excellent album in its own right: and is presented complete with the original 8-panel booklet.
Packaged in a specially-designed 6-panel digipak combining elements of the artwork of both albums, and strictly limited to 100 copies, this 2CD Japanese Limited Edition is incredible value and an instant collector’s item.
The harsh-EBM/dark-electro project of charismatic frontman Daniel Graves, AESTHETIC PERFECTION have toured with the likes of COMBICHRIST and GRENDEL: and their breakthrough album ‘A Violent Emotion’ has already been a smash hit in the U.S. (Bractune) and Europe (Out Of Line).
Now, to coincide with AESTHETIC PERFECTION’s first ever tour of Australia, DWA is proud to present a very special Japanese Limited Digipak Edition of ‘A Violent Emotion’: complete with redesigned artwork and exclusive bonus tracks!
For the DWA version of this classic album, we went back to the original artist Armik Davalokhanion to source an alternative cover design and various other previously unpublished elements of artwork not included in the original release.
Both the 6-panel digipak and 8-page booklet have been completely redesigned combining these new images with art from the original versions!
The bonus section features specially commissioned remixes from scene legends GRENDEL (DWA 919) and Osaka-based DJ Taiki’s DIABOLIC ART, plus remix competition winners ANIMASSACRE and MENSCHDEFEKT (newly signed to our partner Infacted Recordings!): all 4 tracks EXCLUSIVE to this edition!
For pristine mastering of this bonus section, we turned to our expert in Germany: Jan of X-M-P (NOISUF-X).
All in all, we’re confident that with this release we’ve really outdone ourselves in all departments.
This is going to be a tough act to follow…and 2010 hasn’t even started yet!
This is the definitive collector’s edition of this brilliant album: and strictly limited to just 200 copies for the digipak run!
Grab them while you can!
Although the Japanese release date is February 6, to coincide with the Australian tour we have brought forward the Australian release date to January 23!
Pre-orders will ship around January 18, and pre-ordering is open NOW!

At DWA, we are always looking for the best new acts from around the world: of which PANIC LIFT is most definitely one.
With its perfect production and memorable melodic hooks,‘Witness To Our Collapse’ is one of those rare albums where almost every track could be a single. All the more amazing when remembering that this is PANIC LIFT’s debut!
This is a harsh-EBM/dark electro album, certainly – and full of incredibly powerful tracks that would instantly fill any club dancefloor – but with so much variety that it keeps the listener’s attention fully engaged from start to finish.
Pounding beats and sequencers, aggressive distorted vocals – the trademarks of the harsh-EBM genre are all here.
But so too are trip-hop beats, piano and guitars, more reminiscent of NINE INCH NAILS.
DWA’s Japanese Limited Edition of ‘Witness To Our Collapse’ comes in a 6-panel digipak with 8-panel folding insert, complete with previously unpublished photos from the sessions for the US/European artwork.
Also included are the full lyrics of the entire album - also previously unavailable on any other version!

Another WORLD EXCLUSIVE release on Deathwatch Asia this summer: a Japan-only remix album from the legendary UK electro-industrial act INERTIA.
‘Interpret’ contains 10 remixes of songs from the current album ‘Inertia’, plus the music video for ‘The Preacher’.
Remix artists include legendary names like DIE KRUPPS, YOUTH (KILLING JOKE) and ARMAGEDDON DILDOS: plus from Japan DIABOLIC ART (Syarman & DJ Taiki: ‘Infacted Asia’ - DWA 909), SINS OF THE FLESH and 2 BULLET.
Formed in the UK by KILLING JOKE keyboard-player Reza Udhin, INERTIA released their first MCD ‘Infiltrator’ on the German label Celtic Circle in 1995 to widespread critical acclaim.
As a result of the popularity of ‘Infiltrator’, between 1995-1996 INERTIA were invited to play across Europe - including an appearance at Wave Gotik Treffen 1996.
The success of their second MCD ‘Mind Energy’ and their debut album ‘Programmed To Respond’ (1997) in America led to INERTIA’s first full-length US tour, supporting DAS ICH.
Since 1997, INERTIA have returned to Wave Gotik Treffen (1999), have played several lengthy headline tours of the US (with support from acts such as TERRORFAKT and PROJECT-X), and have released a further 4 albums: ‘Negative Prime’ (1999), ‘Advanced Revelation’ (2002), ‘Black Ice Impact’ (2004), ‘Inertia’ (2007), plus 2 remix albums ‘Demagnetized/Remagnetized’ (1999), ‘Positive Angel’ (2000).
In 2006, the American label Cleopatra celebrated 10 years of INERTIA’s career in the EBM-genre by releasing a 2CD ‘Best Of…’ compilation ‘Decade Of Machines’: and INERTIA returned to the US to tour again, this time with legendary German electro outfit ARMAGEDDON DILDOS.
‘Interpret’ will initially be released EXCLUSIVELY in Japan by DWA: and subsequently worldwide and on digital download.
As the current album ‘Inertia’ – on which the remixes are all based – has never been released in Japan, in order to set the context for the remixes the first 100 copies of ‘Interpret’ come as a 2CD digipak Limited Edition set including ‘Inertia’ as a bonus disc.
The package also includes the original 12-page booklet for ‘Inertia’, as well as the 8-page booklet for ‘Interpret’ and obi.
‘Interpret’ 2CD Japanese Limited Digipak Edition will be released in Japan on August 29th, priced at 3,000 JPY.

Upcoming releases, delays:
At last we have some confirmed info on the BAK XIII 'Best Of...' compilation, originally scheduled for a couple of months ago: this ran into a production problem with disc errors picked up at the pressing plant, so a completely new audio master had to be made, causing the project to miss its release slot.
Happily the newly mastered discs have arrived today: and are perfect!
So we are now setting a new release date of 2009.8.08.
Apologies to all those waiting for this release - and for sure it definitely IS well worth waiting for!
20 prime tracks of throbbing electro with a retro feel, recalling FRONT 242 in their heyday: with a uniquely melodic pop-punk twist.
This release is exclusively a Japan-ONLY compilation, with all 20 tracks selected personally by BAK XIII from their 5-album back-catalogue.
The first 222 units are presented in a 6-panel digipak format: with 8-panel folding insert and 4-panel insert.
2 other previously announced projects - the debut album from Osaka digital hardcore/harsh EBM outfit sawDUST in me, and a release from UK EBM legends INERTIA - have both also been suffering delays.
However, as with BAK XIII, both these albums will be worth the wait: as there have been exciting developments with both projects since they were originally signed.
'Decorated Doll' by sawDUST in me, we are still unable to confirm a final release date for: as both mixing and remixing are still ongoing, and the album tracklist may yet change.
What we CAN confirm however is that NOISUF-X will contribute a remix of the song 'Decorate' to the album.
INERTIA, we have a confirmed release date for now: 2009.8.29.
And this has now transformed into a VERY exciting double-album release: which we will announce all the details of shortly!

DJ TAIKI: 'Infacted Asia: Black Veil Club Selection'
Put together one of Europe's best-known electro-industrial labels, one of Japan's best-known electro-industrial DJs, have the resulting mix mastered by one of the scene's best-known mastering engineers and accompany it with artwork by one of Japan's best-known dark digital artists, and the result can only be another mind-blowing package from Deathwatch Asia!
When Infacted Recordings offered us a compilation album, of course we were interested. But then we began wondering what we could do to turn such a release into something even more special. The answer was of course to turn over the track selection to Osaka's DJ Taiki: and get him to turn the songs into a lethal DJ-mix!
Then we gave that DJ-mix to none other than Jan L of NOISUF-X, to master the pounding beats at ear-splitting volume.
For the artwork, we turned to the legendary Atsushi Tani, for a portfolio of photos of DJ Taiki transformed digitally as only Atsushi Tani knows how.
The end product is another amazing
Japan-only exclusive release on DWA, out this Saturday (6/06).
(N.B.: although this is a DJ-mix, of course every track has its own unique start ID! So the disc can be played straight through as 1 DJ-set: or the tracks can be played individually...)
The official launch of this release takes place at Club Neo itself on June 6th, at a special event celebrating the 13th anniversary of DJ TAIKI's Shinsaibashi shop TERRITORY! Open from 18.00...

The tracks ‘Love Your Neighbor’ and ‘Beat Around The Bushes’ have already been featured in several compilation albums of club music (Endzeit Bunkertracks - Act IV, Advanced Electronics Vol.7, etc), receiving heavy play at club events around the world.
‘Das EP’ includes ‘Love Your Neighbor’, ‘Beat Around The Bushes’ plus 5 brand new previously unreleased tracks: all killer tracks designed to take your head off on the dancefloor!

DOPE STARS INC. sign to DWA for Japan
Following the enormous success of DWA’s release of LXT/LATEXXX TEENS ‘Death Club Entertainment’ in January - produced by Victor Love of DOPE STARS INC. and featuring DOPE STARS INC. guitarist La Nuit – DWA is now proud to present an exclusive Japanese Limited Edition release by the cyberpunk-rockers DOPE STARS INC. themselves, complete with Japan-only bonus tracks!
Featuring 8 completely different tracks to the European and American versions – all exclusive and previously unreleased – plus larger digipak and booklet, the Japanese Limited Edition is a must-have collectors item for all fans of DOPE STARS INC.…with the added bonus that DOPE STARS INC. will SIGN all pre-ordered copies!
Blending cyberpunk imagery with heavy rock guitars and programmed electronics, the impossibly good-looking DOPE STARS INC. powered onto the European alternative scene with their 2005 debut ‘Neuromance’ and ‘Gigahearts’ (2006) for German label Trisol, attracting massive press coverage.
Between 2005-2008 DOPE STARS INC. performed at some of the biggest alternative music festivals in Europe such as Mera Luna, Wave Gotik Treffen, Amphi, and Summer Darkness: as well as playing support to acts like COMBICHRIST, APOPTYGMA BERZERK and ASP, and having songs featured in the soundtracks of hit horror movies SAW 2, 3 and 4.
Now, after a 3-year hiatus during which frontman and songwriter Victor Love has been honing his production skills with fellow Italian act LXT/LATEXXX TEENS and his own side-project EPOCHATE, the self-styled ‘digital warriors’ have returned with a brand-new feature-length EP ‘Criminal Intents/Morning Star’: a preview for their forthcoming 3rd full studio album scheduled for release on DWA (Japan), Metropolis (USA) and Trisol/Subsound (Europe) this July.
Running at well over 70 minutes of music, this version of ‘Criminal Intents/Morning Star’ includes a selection of new tracks and a massive bonus section of remixes of classic DOPE STARS INC. tracks by top names such as KMFDM, MORTIIS and GOTHMINISTER!
DWA’s unique Japanese Limited Edition digipak of ‘Criminal Intents/Morning Star’ features no less than EIGHT different bonus tracks to the European (Trisol/Subsound) and US (Metropolis) releases – remixes by XP8, LXT/LATEXXX TEENS, DEFLORE and ADAM KULT – plus 4 previously unreleased demos never heard before!
DWA’s digipak is 6-panels landscape-format rather than the 4-panel portrait-format digipak of the Trisol European release: with additional artwork.
The DWA booklet is 8-panels instead of the 4-panel booklet of the Metropolis release, adding gorgeous additional photos of the band by Enrico Caputo.
All this, plus 4-panel gatefold insert with Japanese liner notes.
Strictly limited to 200 copies, we expect heavy demand for this release to rapidly outstrip supply! And to repeat: DOPE STARS INC. WILL SIGN THE BOOKLETS OF ALL PRE-ORDERED COPIES OF THIS RELEASE!!!

DJ TAIKI: 'Infacted Asia: Black Veil Club Selection'
Another Japan-only exclusive! 15 tracks from leading German electro-industrial label Infacted Recordings, mixed for the dancefloor by none other than Japan’s #1 electro-industrial DJ TAIKI!
In 2006, DWA released the first compilation album of music from the Japanese dark scene, the best-selling ‘Dark Waters’ album. Now, in another ground-breaking idea, DWA presents the first-ever commercial release of a mix-CD by a Japanese dark scene DJ: using an exclusive selection of tracks from leading German dark electro label Infacted Recordings!
Mixed live in Osaka by DJ TAIKI (Black Veil), ‘Infacted Asia: Black Veil Club Selection’ is a non-stop DJ-mix of 15 dance tracks from top Infacted artists such as GRENDEL, REAPER, HEIMATAERDE and SOMAN. The perfect introduction to the best of Infacted’s impressive catalogue of alternative club music: perfectly mixed by leading dark scene DJ TAIKI, organiser of Japan’s premier alternative club night ‘Black Veil’ at Shinsaibashi Club Neo since 2000.
A world-exclusive CD, produced only for Japan, the mix has been mastered by top European engineer Jan L (aka NOISUF-X/X-FUSION) of X-Fusion Music Production, whose extensive production and mastering credits include SIVA SIX (DWA901: Flesh And Will Resurrected), SUICIDE COMMANDO and GRENDEL.
Artwork for the 6-panel digipak and 8-panel insert features photography of DJ TAIKI by leading Japanese dark scene photographer and digital artist Tani Atsushi.
Available from June 6th, the official launch of this release takes place at Club Neo itself, at a special event celebrating the 13th anniversary of DJ TAIKI's Shinsaibashi shop TERRITORY!
BAK XIII: 'Best Of...' compilation
Another world-exclusive coming soon on DWA: a Japan-only ‘Greatest Hits Collection’ from this top Swiss EBM/New Wave act!
BAK XIII is an EBM/New Wave powerhouse from Switzerland, combining modern industrial production with classic old-school EBM-sequencing: 21st Century music with punk attitude and a retro feel evidenced by song-titles like ‘80s Are Back Forever’ and ‘New Wave Party’.
In Europe, BAK XIII have toured with such top names in the electro-industrial scene as SUICIDE COMMANDO, FRONT 242 and DAS ICH: and have remixed or been remixed by top artists like PSYCHE, HIV+ and THE NEON JUDGEMENT.
In 2008, DWA invited BAK XIII programmer Baron Von Smock to Japan to present his ambient-industrial solo-project MUSIC FOR THE SPACE live in Osaka, Kobe and Kyoto: and as guest DJ for leading dark-scene event Tokyo Dark Castle in Shinjuku.
Now with ‘Best Of BAK XIII’ DWA is proud to present a world-exclusive Japan-only ‘Greatest Hits Collection’ of BAK XIII: celebrating the prolific musical career of Switzerland’s best-known electro-industrial act!
Originally formed as a duo by Baron Von Smock and DDDmix (vocals, programming) in Geneva in 2001, since 2003 BAK XIII has operated as a trio with guitarists Garf (2003-2006) and Tenebras (2007-2009) adding metal riffs to the mix.
Since 2003, BAK XIII have released a new studio album almost every year: ‘In Cauda Venenum’ (2003), ‘Post Lucem Tenebrae’ (2004), ‘Morituri Te Salutant’ (2005), ‘Vae Victis’ (2006) and ‘Ultima Ratio Regum’ (2008), plus the 2006 EP ‘Dead Again’. DWA’s ‘Best Of BAK XIII’ contains a massive 20 tracks from all 5 BAK XIII albums: all personally selected by the band themselves!
Under exclusive license from BAK XIII’s European label Urgence Disk Records, DWA’s ‘Best Of BAK XIII’ comes with an 8-panel folding insert detailing the entire recorded history of BAK XIII’s albums, plus 4-panel insert with Japanese linernotes about the band. And the first 200 copies of this unique album are presented in a 6-panel digipak, with artwork specially commissioned for this release!
Available June 27th!
sawDUST in me: debut full-length album
June can be a month to avoid in Japan, as heavy rain usually heralds the end of Spring and start of the oppressive summer heat. This year however, June will bring with it several releases to savour on DWA: none sweeter than the full-length debut from Osaka’s sawDUST in me.
‘Decorated Doll’ features 10 brand new tracks, plus a bonus remix section featuring an array of top international and domestic artists such as sonic terrorist UTEROZZZAAA, DJs SiSeN and TAKUYA ANGEL, 2BULLET, UK EBM-legends INERTIA and Chilean industrial-metal act VIGILANTE.
The first 222 copies will come in a 6-panel digipak Special Edition, with 8-panel folding insert, obi, and 4-panel gatefold insert with linernotes in Japanese.
‘Decorated Doll’ delivers on all levels, totally fulfilling the promise of sawDUST’s 2007 debut EP ‘Mortification Made Me’. Co-produced like ‘Mortification Made Me’ by Jude of SINS OF THE FLESH/DESPAIR, ‘Decorated Doll’ is loaded with throbbing sequencers, haunting piano refrains, plaintive melodies and screaming vocals.
Further details to follow, as we get them..!
DAWN OF ASHES: Limited Edition 2CD
Another 'killer' release on DWA next month: a 2CD digipak edition of DAWN OF ASHES awesome splatter-themed dark-electro albums 'In The Acts Of Violence' and 'The Crypt Injection'.
Some groups like SIVA SIX have successfully switched to the electro-industrial scene from origins in black metal. Like PSYCLON NINE before them, DAWN OF ASHES seem to currently be moving in the opposite direction: from dark electro to death metal.
Currently recording what will be their third studio album ‘Genocide Chapters’, DAWN OF ASHES have now adopted SLIPKNOT-style masks and an expanded line-up featuring live drums, bass and guitar.
However, prior to this apparent change of musical direction they have been responsible for 2 of the electro-industrial scene’s most powerful recent albums - in the shape of their 2006 debut ‘In The Acts Of Violence’ (which reached #9 in the DAC German Alternative Charts), and the widely-praised follow-up ‘The Crypt Injection’ (2007: DAC #6!).
For the first time, DWA brings these 2 brilliant albums together: in 1 beautiful collector’s edition package.
Including remixes from FGFC820, ASLAN FACTION, XP8 and DIOXYDE – plus the music video for ‘Torture Device’ – this is a non-stop sensory assault of electro-horror.
Coming in an all-new 6-panel digipak modelled on the artwork of the original NoiTekk releases, this strictly Limited Edition of 100 pieces comes with obi and Japanese liner-notes insert from DWA - plus the 2 original 8-page booklets and 2 CDs from the individual NoiTekk European editions of both albums.
Available April 25th.
Out now: SOTF and Tactical Sekt
February brought a flurry of new releases, including the latest offering from SINS OF THE FLESH. Featuring 7 remixes of the grinding 'F**k #1', plus a couple of bonus tracks, the resulting CD weighs in at an impressive 45 minutes, and includes versions of 'F**k #1' reinterpreted by MIMETIC and 2BULLET.
The first 222 copies come in a 6-panel collector's digipak, with 8-panel insert, plus 4-panel insert with linernotes in Japanese.
Also in stores now is the Japanese 2CD Limited Digipak Edition
of TACTICAL SEKT's 'Syncope': featuring a bonus CD of rare and deleted material that has been sought after by TACTICAL SEKT fans for many years.
In stores now!
FGFC820 Japanese Limited Edition 2CD:
We can now confirm a release date for the latest offering of martial electro from New York DJs Rexx Arkana and Dräcos.
The stunning sophomore release from FGFC820 'Law & Ordnance' comes in a special limited 2-disc edition with bonus remixes from the likes of COMBICHRIST, C-LEKKTOR, SAM and many many more!
This 2CD-set is limited worldwide to 1000 copies: and this Japanese edtion of it to just 100, so pre-order is highly recommended!
A massive collection of punchy club tracks, the regular edition of this CD alone would be a serious contender for 'Album Of The Year', and has already been a permanent fixture at the top end of the DAC (German Alternative Charts) for months.
Throw in the CD2 of a further 11 remixes, and this becomes a 'must-have' purchase for anybody into the harder end of alternative dance music.
Coming in 6-panel digipak as standard, modelled as always on the original artwork for the NoiTekk release (designed by Nathan Winter of IndustriArts), this 2CD set will include a 4-panel gatefold insert with Japanese linernotes on FGFC820, plus 8-page booklet and CDs from the NoiTekk edition.
In stores from April 18th.
VIGILANTE remix for sawDUST in me album:
Now completing a brand new CD/DVD set 'Life Is A Battlefield', Chilean industrial metal heavyweights VIGILANTE have agreed to make time for remixing a sawDUST in me track for the upcoming sawDUST album ' Decorated Doll' later this spring! VIGILANTE's version of 'bfs' will appear as part of a bonus remix section of this debut full-length album: remixes produced by a variety of international and Japanese artists.
DWA's Japanese Limited 2CD Digipak Edition of VIGILANTE's current album 'War Of Ideas'
is on sale NOW!
Obscenity Trial: DWA goes 'pop'!
This one has been a long time 'in development': but is finally here.
The result of a chance meeting between SINS OF THE FLESH frontman Jude and OBSCENITY TRIAL frontman
Oliver Wand backstage at the Radio Inferno Festival in St.Petersburg, this is the Japanese Limited Edition of German act OBSCENITY TRIAL's latest electropop masterpiece 'That Night' - under exclusive license from German label Major Records (IAMX, MESH, Ladytron).
OBSCENITY TRIAL's 2nd full-length album, 'That Night' follows 2 highly-successful releases on Infacted ('Daydream', 'Here And Now'), and marks somewhat of a musical departure for both OBSCENITY TRIAL and DWA.
Already renowned for hard dance tracks, with 'That Night' OBSCENITY TRIAL embrace a broader spectrum
of sounds such as the uplifting and melodic 'My Mind, Your Mind'.
'That Night' is synthpop at its finest, in all its varieties: both danceable and downtempo.
Presented as a luxurious Japan-only 6-panel digipak with obi - containing gatefold insert with Japanese linernotes - plus CD and 8-panel booklet from the Major Records European release, this Japanese Limited Edition of ‘That Night’ is strictly limited to 100 pieces!
Just returned to Germany from a mammoth 26-date US tour to promoted 'That Night', OBSCENITY TRIAL are already back in the studio recording new material!
LXT: ...world exclusive!
Another fantastic 'free upgrade'!
Italy's industrial-metal sensation LXT continues to explode into Japan, rapidly following labelmates SIVA SIX into becoming one of DWA's fastest-selling titles ever!
DWA's Japanese Limited 2CD Edition digipak of LXT's debut full-length album 'Death Club Entertainment' sold as many copies in its first month of release as any of our 'home-grown' Japanese acts: not bad for a band which has yet to appear live in Japan!
However, as there seemed to be some issue with playback of certain copies of the CD2 'Moloko & Ultraviolence', rather than wait to replace them with copies of the Italian original we have pressed a limited-run Japanese version: with brand new artwork modelled on the original CD's cover-art!
Another Japan-only world-exclusive!
Superbly produced by Victor Love of Trisol's cyber-metal superstars DOPE STARS INC., the 'Death Club Entertainment' 2CD Limited Edition is a heady cocktail of hard electronics and heavy guitar riffs - a must-have item for any fans of MARILYN MANSON or Japan's own DESTRUCT SYSTEM!
Check out these MP3 preview clips NOW: 1. (P)Resident Evil 1.51
2. Hey God 1.21
3. Long Way To Ruin 1.19 4. L.S.D. 1.39 5. Natural Born Chaos 1.46

TACTICAL SEKT: ...world exclusive!
Another fantastic exclusive from DWA!
Thanks to our good friends at Black Rain Media Group, we have secured permission to upgrade the Japanese Limited Editon of TACTICAL SEKT's seminal work 'Syncope' to a world exclusive 2CD version!
Melodic and catchy music, distorted vocals and clever dialogue samples fused to brutal dance beats: the 'regular' version of ‘Syncope’ is a must-have album of the harsh–EBM/dark electro genre in its own right, packed with club-friendly tracks.
But CD2 of the Japanese Limited Edition contains 8 rare and deleted tracks from the original bonus CD of the European Limited Edition of 'Syncope':sold-out, deleted and massively in demand by collectors worldwide since 2006!
Re-pressed as a strictly limited edition of 200 retail copies only, with new artwork corresponding to the DWA digipak, this disc is destined to become a major collector's item!
The Japanese Limited Edition of this double-CD title comes in a 6-panel digipak, featuring artwork redesigned from the original NoiTekk European release. In addition to the DWA-exclusive CD2, 'Syncope - Japanese Limited 2CD Edition' comes complete with 4-panel gatefold insert featuring Japanese liner-notes, obi, plus the 4-panel insert and main CD from the standard NoiTekk European edition.
Retail price: a mere 2,500 Yen!
SIVA SIX: ...resurrected
New Year, new products!
Another great title featuring remixes from top Japanese artists like BLOOD, DIABOLIC ART (DJ TAIKI of BLACK VEIL/MIDNIGHT NECROPOLIS) and DWA's own DESPAIR: the DWA edition of the latest SIVA SIX double-album is unleashed today (01/10)!
The all-new 15-track remix-CD 'Flesh And Will Resurrected...' would be a fantastic purchase in its own right, brimming as it is with versions of SIVA SIX tracks from top international artists such as NOISUF-X, DOPE STARS INC., XP8, SOMAN and latest DWA signings VIGILANTE and LXT.
Yet as if the remix-CD itself wasn't enough, this gorgeous digipak edition exclusive to Japan also contains the reissue of SIVA SIX's much-praised (and sold-out) 2005 debut 'Rise New Flesh'!
DWA's beautifully-packaged Japanese Limited Edition of this double-CD title comes in a 6-panel digipak, with 4-panel gatefold insert and obi, plus the 12-page booklet and 2CDs from the standard European edition of our Italian partner Decadance Records: all for the bargain price of only 3,000 Yen!
Out now!
More great Japan-only exclusives!
2009 brings with it a whole host of great new releases on DWA - naturally all perfectly-presented in collector's edition digipak format!
In addition to the previously confirmed releases from SIVA SIX, VIGILANTE and LXT, we are now pleased to announce details of the February releases...
First out of the gate on 2009/02/07 will be the Japanese debut of German synthpop stars OBSCENITY TRIAL: formerly of Infacted Recordings, now with Major Records, and freshly returned from a massive 26-date coast-to-coast co-headline tour across the USA wih SPETSNAZ. 'That Night' is the latest album - an electro-pop odyssey in the vein of DEPECHE MODE.
For Valentine's Day 2009, what could be better than to find your 'F**k #1'?
And that is exactly what we bring you: the long-awaited remix EP version of
'F**k #1' from Osaka-based SINS OF THE FLESH. With the live band now recovering from an exhaustive European tour throughout most of September 2008, and busily recording new material, 2009/02/14 will see the club-side of SOTF again, in the shape of 7 remixes: from Swiss maestro MIMETIC, Tokyo electro-industrial outfit 2BULLET and 5 from SOTF.
Continuing DWA's twin pursuit of 'the best new and the best ever' titles from overseas, 2009/02/21 brings the official Japanese release of TACTICAL SEKT's classic dark electro masterpiece 'Syncope'. 12 tracks of unbridled dancefloor aggression, this album is a must for anyone who loved our GRENDEL and REAPER releases this year. An absolute classic of the harsh-EBM genre.
And speaking of club-friendly sounds, the February line-up is completed by the latest offering from New York DJs Rexx Arkana and Dracos: the stunning sophomore release from FGFC820 'Law & Ordnance', in a special limited 2-disc edition with bonus remixes from the likes of COMBICHRIST, C-LEKKTOR, SAM and many many more!
All 4 releases come in 6-panel full-colour digipaks, complete with inserts, booklets and obis. And just wait to see what we have in store for you in March! Full details to follow...

NECRO STELLAR: 12/13
After several months of frenzied behind-the-scenes activity, the DWA winter product line-up is finally rolling out: and what a fantastic line-up it is. In collaboration with our European partners, DWA will be bringing a selection of titles from top artists from around the world: from Russia to Greece, from Chile to Italy and beyond. All presented as exclusive Japanese Limited Editions - in high-end multi-panel digipak format, loaded with as many extras as possible!
First off the presses is the Japanese debut of Russia's first dark electro outfit NECRO STELLAR, with a Japanese Limited Edition of the group's earliest material entitled 'Pulsing Zero'. NECRO STELLAR lay claim to the title of being Russia's first Darkwave act, having made their first live appearance in 1993. Since signing to leading Russian alternative label Shadowplay, NECRO STELLAR have released 3 acclaimed albums: 'Saturating Cemetery' (2005, reissued 2008), the retrospective 'Pulsing Zero' (2006) and concept album 'White Tranquility' (2007).
Under exclusive license from Shadowplay, DWA is pleased to present the first 200 copies of this release in a sumptuous digipak edition comprising 6-panel digipak, 8-panel folding insert, 4-panel gatefold Japanese liner notes insert and obi. All of course in full colour, on heavyweight paper-stock. A collector's dream...
And as if these features were not enough, the CD also comes loaded with a bonus section of remixes by leading Japanese underground artists AURAL VAMPIRE, DEMONOID 13 and DESPAIR: all tracks previously unreleased and specially commissioned by DWA for this release!

Official Launch Nights:
An official release party for the Japanese Limited Editions of REAPER's 'Hell Starts With An H' and GRENDEL's 'Harsh Generation will take place on 07/05 at Club NEO in Osaka: at MIDNIGHT NECROPOLIS, Kansai's premier electro-industrial/EBM night.
It is always a good idea to get to Club NEO early on Territory club nights - to catch the excellent warm-up DJs...but this time we are offering an extra incentive to the first customers on the night. As this launch night celebrates not only the release of the REAPER and GRENDEL albums, but also the beginning of an alliance between DWA and Infacted Recordings, there will be a giveaway of various Infacted products! The first 10 customers will get a free CD randomly drawn from the following selection:
...and for the following 15 customers, a GRENDEL or INFACTED RECORDINGS vinyl sticker.
The official launch night of DEMONOID 13's 'Death To The Vulgar Lord' will take place in DEMONOID 13's hometown of Nagoya at a special instalment of the live event TORTURE TECHNIQUE at DAYTRIP on 7/13: with special guests BAAL, just returned from their Australian tour with ANGELSPIT.
DEMONOID 13: Death To The Vulgar Lord
Nagoya’s DEMONOID 13 is the only Japanese act producing tracks in the predominantly European/North American ‘Terror EBM’ style: a combination of hard dance beats/electronics fused with horror film themes.
After nearly a 2-year wait, DEMONOID 13 finally return with the long-awaited follow-up to their super-heavy debut ‘GATE OF DEATH’.
Released through Deathwatch Asia at the end of 2006, ‘GATE OF DEATH’ has now almost sold out its original pressing, with only limited stocks remaining.
The first pressing of new CD ‘DEATH TO THE VULGAR LORD’ is issued in a beautiful gatefold digipak, featuring dark artwork from Nagoya tattoo artist Ryuji (Ryuji Tattoo Design): and limited to 500 copies.
Already wildly popular outside Japan, DEMONOID 13 have been featured in #1 German alternative magazine ORKUS, and in September make their European live debut as the headline act of Eastern Europe’s largest industrial-gothic festival: ‘Chorna Rada’ in Kiev (Ukraine).
‘DEATH TO THE VULGAR LORD’ will cement DEMONOID 13’s position as a force to be reckoned with in the international industrial/EBM scene.

Release dates and official launch events:
The Japanese scene was shocked and saddened by the unexpected death of popular and talented singer Ana this March. Ana had just quit DESPAIR after recording 1 final track especially for the new DWA compilation DARKER WATERS, and given that this song - the epic and emotional 'Gash' - sadly forms her final recorded work, it was therefore decided that the release-date of DARKER WATERS should be postponed to coincide with a memorial gig being held in her honour at Tokyo Dark Castle.
'DARKER WATERS: deeper into the Japanese underground' goes on domestic sale 06/07.
Available across Japan from Tower, HMV, Territory and all other usual stockists: and of course on the night at Shinjuku Marz.
The Japanese Limited Editions of REAPER's 'Hell Starts With An H' and GRENDEL's 'Harsh Generation' will go on commercial release across Japan from 07/05.
An official release party for these CDs will take place that night at Club NEO in Osaka: at MIDNIGHT NECROPOLIS, Osaka's premier electro-industrial/EBM night.
As this celebrates not only the release of the REAPER and GRENDEL albums, but also the beginning of an alliance between DWA and Infacted Recordings, there will be a giveaway of various Infacted products to the first customers on the night! First come, first served!

MUSIC FOR THE SPACE / HERR LIEBE:
DWA is pleased to welcome HERR LIEBE of Swiss electro-industrial outfit BAK XIII to Japan for a few live dates with his ambient-industrial side-project MUSIC FOR THE SPACE this June:
Kobe's show will be a special one-off presentation of his soundtrack for F.W.Murnau's classic silent horror film NOSFERATU: which will be projected during his show. Naturally this version includes Japanese subtitles!

Full tracklist and further details to follow...
DARKER WATERS: final confirmed tracklist
After a couple of great last-minute additions, we are now pleased to announce the final tracklisting of the imminent DARK WATERS 2. THE ROYAL DEAD (formerly known as PHANTASMAGORIA, leading to some confusion between them and the Visual Kei act of the same name) have just been on tour in the USA, and have a new mini-album out: from which we have culled a special radio-edit of the track THE COMMON BETRAYAL (OF GIRLFRIENDS) especially for this compilation. Usually known for a lighter trancey sound, this track features a darker distorted-vocal feel.
Also, we are pleased to give brand new Tokyo industrial outfit THE NEUTRON EGO TAPE a first release on CD. Their CD-R demo was so impressive, we had to include them! Marilyn Manson-esque vocals over meaty guitar riffs place this exciting act in the same Tokyo-heavy-industrial camp as their peers BAAL and DESPAIR.
DARKER WATERS comes next month in a sumptuous 3-panel digipak at the ridiculously low price of 2000 Yen!
SINS OF THE FLESH: German festival debut
First confirmed European show of the New Year for SINS OF THE FLESH will be a long-overdue German festival debut in September.

Further details and confirmed release date to follow.

New DESPAIR remix CD release: MP3s uploaded
Full details are now available for the new 9-track remix CD from DESPAIR.
Packaged as a full-colour gatefold maxi-single, this EP weighs in at a massive 39 minutes: 9 tracks of controlled industrial carnage, breakcore and abstract ambient EBM, at the bargain price of ¥1500/€10.00.
3 versions of MPD Conflict, 3 versions of Jarring God, and 1 version each of the remaining 3 tracks of the original DESERTED TECHNOLGY RIOT have all been mangled and reprocessed into a unique and unprecedented sonic cocktail that takes the trademark beauty and brutality of DESPAIR to new and unimaginable levels.
The official street date is 2007/10/03...but anyone attending the official launch night at Shinjuku MARZ in Tokyo on Sunday 9/23 can pick up an advance copy, hot off the CD-presses. Those reserving advance tickets for this event with DESPAIR can also get a limited edition cotton patch on the day: exclusively for those making ticket reservations! To get in line for one of these, register for advance tickets by e-mail with the DESPAIR Management Office: jail@despair-nation.com.
This launch event also features appearances from fellow DARKER WATERS contributors BAAL and GADGET, among others!
DARKER WATERS: provisional track information
Can't get enough of SAWDUST IN ME? Well, with MORTIFICATION MADE ME now on general release, DEATHWATCH ASIA is pleased to announce provisional details of artists and material featured in the upcoming DARK WATERS 2 CD: which will include a brand new SAWDUST IN ME track 'Tiny' recorded exclusively for this compilation.
'DARKER WATERS - Deeper Into The Japanese Underground' will, as promised, take the best-selling DARK WATERS concept to new heights...or should that be '(previously unplumbed) depths'?
Casting the net wider than before, we have sought out a diversity of new and well-established artists representing the Japanese underground scene in its myriad musical forms: from the theatrical flavour of Kyoto's STRAWBERRY SONG ORCHESTRA 'Boku No Ita Chizu' (exclusive) to the industrial noise terror of Osaka's UTERO ZZZ AAA 'Ultimate Torture Regurgitator'/'Unknown Terrorist Reverse' (exclusive), the alternative rock style of Tokyo's GADGET 'Lost Avalon' (exclusive) to the experimental electronica of Kobe's SUNAO INAMI 'Farm Machines And Implements' (exclusive).
And of course DARKER WATERS is also awash with brand new material from Deathwatch Asia artists like DESPAIR and SINS OF THE FLESH, artists familiar to European audiences from touring like BAAL and GOTHIKA (ex-EUTHANASIE)...and the debut recordings from new acts like LILLIES AND REMAINS.
Proof-positive, as if any were needed, of the vibrancy and variety of the Japanese underground scene in 2007...
SAWDUST IN ME: CD launch information
SAWDUST IN ME’s debut CD ‘MORTIFICATION MADE ME’ goes on general release from 2007/08/04, from all our sales points in Japan and overseas: including the recently added NANIMATO (France) and GROUND UNDER PRODUCTIONS (Australia).

And in conjunction with some of the most famous underground club-nights in Japan, this release will be launched at a variety of events around the country:
First in Osaka on Saturday 07/28, 5 copies will be given away via lottery-ticket on admission to MIDNIGHT NECROPOLIS at Club NEO in Shinsaibashi: Osaka’s hardest EBM/technoise/dark-electro event. In addition, the first 50 paying customers will receive a promotional CD-R of a SAWDUST IN ME remix produced exclusively for this event!
Next, on the release date itself of Saturday 08/04, SAWDUST IN ME will be the only featured live act at TOKYO DARK CASTLE’s ‘DJ-CASTLE’ at Shinjuku MARZ: sandwiched between a selection of the finest DJs in the scene including DJ ACID KLUXX (Rieu: DESPAIR).
And the following Sunday, 08/12, SAWDUST IN ME will return to Tokyo to play ALAMODE NIGHT at STUDIO CUBE 326 in Shibaura.
Please check the relevant websites of all participating organizations for further information: and our thanks to all the people in charge for their kindness and help in making this promotional push possible!

So: we did our part.

These 2 releases will be featured on the listening posts in TOWER RECORDS flagship store in Shibuya!
DARK WATERS 2: in the pipeline...
Anything successful invariably inspires imitation: as others try to cash-in on your innovation. DARK WATERS was a groundbreaking release that set an industry-standard for what was possible in the Japanese scene: and sure enough, copycat releases have not been slow to follow...but nothing that comes (in our humble opinions) remotely close in terms of quality and price.
If imitation is truly the sincerest form of flattery, we should perhaps be glad: and indeed we welcome both the competition and anything that helps promote interest in the Japanese underground scene.
But a word of warning to our would-be competitors: even as you try to catch up with what we already achieved, we are already preparing to out-do ourselves and set a new industry-standard.
DARK WATERS 2: deeper into the Japanese underground.
Coming this summer on DEATHWATCH ASIA.
Catch us if you can...
European distribution:
At DEATHWATCH ASIA, the attitude is 'Only the best will do'.
The best music, the best packaging, the best prices....
It's the policy that guides everything we do: from the acts we are willing to release material by, right down to the type of flyers we are prepared to print (full-colour heavyweight postcards).
And that means of course that we apply the same painstaking selection process to who we are prepared to be represented and distributed by around the world.
It is therefore with great pleasure that we are able to announce that our entire catalogue is now available from the UK's leading online retailer of industrial and alternative CDs, DVDs, magazines and concert tickets: MUSIC NON STOP.
DESPAIR remix E.P. in production:
With DESERTED TECHNOLOGY RIOT about to hit the shelves on general release in Japan, DESPAIR have been playing relentlessly almost every weekend across the country. Yet somehow, time enough has still been found to produce a full remix E.P. which takes the riot-sound to new extremes.
All 5 tracks from the original have been remixed into totally different styles for REWIRED RIOT TECHNOLOGY...
Coming soon on DEATHWATCH ASIA!
DARK WATERS on general release:
It has been a long wait, but DEATHWATCH ASIA's flagship J-Goth compilation release DARK WATERS is finally on general release throughout Japan.
Now available from all major retailers including Amazon, Tower Records, HMV and other non-specialist stores across the country.
Other titles will be following shortly.
SAWDUST IN ME E.P. in production:
Osaka's female duo SAWDUST IN ME is the latest sensation to hit the J-Goth scene. A combination of driving EBM, distorted breakbeats and powerful violent vocals, the band is already being talked about by luminaries like DJ SiSen, and being invited to play at venues around Japan.
While the look may remind of 80's icons STRAWBERRY SWITCHBLADE, the comparison ends right there: although there is an undeniably poppy and appealing element to SAWDUST IN ME's music, it is a primal and industrial experience. Their dancefloor-friendly sound should appeal to fans of DEMONOID 13, while the digital-hardcore elements and atmospheric ambience are more akin to DESPAIR. Overall, an essential addition to the DEATHWATCH ASIA roster!
A debut 5-track E.P. entitled 'MORTIFICATION MADE ME' is now in production, earmarked for a probable May release. Included will be re-worked versions of DEFINE and THIRTEENTH (of which demo versions can be heard now on SAWDUST IN ME's MySpace), plus the tracks SUBSTITUTE, MY WAY OUT and ENVY.
Production duties have been assumed by Jude (DESPAIR/SINS OF THE FLESH).

DARK WATERS and DESERTED TECHNOLOGY RIOT reviewed in ORKUS:
DARK WATERS and DESPAIR's DESERTED RIOT TECHNOLOGY reviewed in the February 2007 issue of ORKUS.
SINS OF THE FLESH album unleashed:
Not many acts spend 16 years thinking about how to follow up their first album: yet that is how long the world has been waiting for SINS OF THE FLESH to deliver on the promise of 1990's seminal debut FIRST COMMUNION.
Hailed by fans and contemporaries alike as the great hope of the UK goth scene in the early 90s, SOTF seemed content to fade away into legendary status...until now!
Now featuring a hybrid Japanese-British line-up hand-picked from members of the best bands of an emerging J-Goth scene, SOTF have returned with the breathtakingly eclectic new album THE DEATH OF THE FLESH, and a sound which is classic and contemporary in equal measures: a musical tribute to the best of the scene itself, both past and present.
And a MASSIVE album it is too: made available now in a limited-edition double-CD format, with full-colour 12-page booklet. 28 tracks, 140 minutes of brand-new SOTF material...at the BARGAIN price of just ¥2000/€13.85!
Promotion in Europe is in full-force, with the album-version of F**K #1 included in the CD of the latest February issue of Europe's leading alternative music-magazine ORKUS, and an exclusive remix of JUDAS KISS (ALL I NEVER WANTED) included in the CD of the new ASTAN.
And of course SOTF are on tour to support the album-release:
02/02 - KYOTO Yaso (JP)
04/02 - KOBE Otoya (JP)
09/02 - UTRECHT Tivoli de Helling (NL)
10/02 - COLOGNE Underground (D)
11/02 - NORDHORN Scheune (D)
DEMONOID 13 reissue now available:
DEATHWATCH ASIA's professionally-packaged reissue of DEMONOID 13's 2005 debut GATE OF DEATH is now on sale.
Modelled on imagery from the original hand-produced inkjet packaging, this release is presented in maxi-single format, with a gatefold colour J-card and obi.
5 tracks of the hardest electro-industrial for which DEMONOID 13 are rightly renowned, topped with guttural vocals, dusted with a fine sprinkling of atmospheric keyboards...and battered into submission with metallic percussion.
Experience extreme death-rave now!
DESPAIR E.P. released:
The long wait is over for fans of DESPAIR. Originally released in October, but withdrawn and re-pressed owing to dissatisfaction with the final masters, this is the definitive, re-mastered version: presenting DESPAIR in full sonic violence.
Featuring the live favourite JARRING GOD, this release is sure to appeal to fans of the group's 2004 debut 'Beautiful Japanese Sight': and the inclusion of the moodier, down-tempo FILTH PIG presents the more thoughtful, cinematic sound DESPAIR is also more than capable of.
'FUCK THAT SHIT'!
Myspace site opened:
Myspace users can now hear the latest releases from DEATHWATCH ASIA, and leave comments at www.myspace.com/deathwatchasia
MP3s on the myspace site are long-form mixes made up of 1-2 minutes of each track from the release, in 128kbps/44.1khz format.
