“Excessive Exposure” is the brilliant and punchy new album from one of the best and biggest acts in the industrial scene today: NOISUF-X.

Starting in 2005 with debut album “Antipode”, NOISUF-X began as a side-project of the EBM act X-FUSION: but has emerged over the last 5 years as a powerful musical force in its own right, with the aggressive albums “The Beauty Of Destruction” (ProNoize: 2007, Gravitator: 2008) and most recently “Voodoo Ritual” (ProNoize: 2009).

Jan’s production skills as an audio engineer are among the most sought-after in the industrial scene: his resume makes impressive reading: having mixed and mastered multiple albums by SUICIDE COMMANDO, ALIEN VAMPIRES and C-LEKKTOR, and mastered countless albums including HEIMATAERDE, SAM, [:SITD:], XOTOX and X MARKS THE PEDWALK.

Already known in Japan for their remixes of BLOOD and GPKISM, Australian duo SHIV-R are a new force in the field of dark electronic music.

SHIV-R’s work is defined by haunting, neo-classical melodies fused with harsh percussive club sounds and eerie synth textures: ‘industrial analogue darkness’!
In contrast to the distorted vocals favoured by many dark electro acts, SHIV-R employs clean and powerful male vocals reminiscent of KILLING JOKE, delivered in shouts and whispers.
The dark and unsettling atmosphere generated by the band is at times intended for clubs, and at times drawn out at a slow, grinding pace for full dramatic impact.

Although ‘Hold My Hand’ is SHIV-R’s debut album, the 2 members have in fact been actively collaborating with each other on music for almost 10 years: and have already built up an impressive discography prior to starting SHIV-R.
Lee Bulig’s previous projects include STARK and NEON WOMB, while Pete Crane was behind THE CRYSTALLINE EFFECT and PLAGUE SEQUENCE.

Although still a new artist, SHIV-R’s powerful production style has already led to heavy demand for their remixing skills.

SUICIDAL ROMANCE is a dark electro-pop act from Eastern Europe, featuring powerful male and female vocals combined with strong dance production and visual aesthetics.

Since forming in 2006 SUICIDAL ROMANCE have played live across Europe, including performances at some of Europe’s largest dark music festivals such as Wave Gotik Treffen in Germany and Summer Darkness in Holland.

Their debut album for leading German electronic music label Infacted Recordings ‘Love Beyond Reach’ (2007) and EP ‘A Kiss To Resist’ (2008) saw SUICIDAL ROMANCE remixed by leading scene acts such as BLUTENGEL, XP8 (DWA 101: Drop The Mask) and AESTHETIC PERFECTION (DWA 920: A Violent Emotion).
‘Love Beyond Reach’ was subsequently licensed for Russia by Gravitator, leading to SUICIDAL ROMANCE’s first live show in Russia.

This great-looking trio’s 2nd full album ‘Shattered Heart Reflections’, expertly produced by Vasi Vallis (REAPER, FROZEN PLASMA), is their strongest work to date: released in Europe on Infacted Recordings (5/07), in the USA by Metropolis (5/25) and in Asia-Pacific by DWA (5/08).

Frontman Dmitry’s low snarling vocals contrast perfectly with female singer Viktoria’s operatic style, over pounding yet melodic electropop sounds.

Released simultaneously by Infacted Recordings in Europe and DWA in Japan – with a US release on Metropolis scheduled for May – MENSCHDEFEKT’s official debut ‘The Human Parasite’ is a strong contender for harsh EBM album of the year: relentlessly brutal beats and violently-distorted vocals, mastered by the legendary Jan L of NOISUF-X/X-FUSION (DWA 909: INFACTED ASIA, DWA 901: SIVA SIX, DWA 102 C-LEKKTOR).

On the artwork front, MENSCHDEFEKT’s savage vision of a parasitic human society is perfectly illustrated by top industrial designer UserDX (HOCICO, SOMAN, ICON OF COIL, DWA 919: GRENDEL – Chemicals + Circuitry).

First started as a solo project by German programmer Dominik R, MENSCHDEFEKT self-released several instrumental albums before winning a remix competition for AESTHETIC PERFECTION in 2008: after which MENSCHDEFEKT’s public profile swiftly soared.

In 2009 MENSCHDEFEKT became a duo, with the addition of Swedish vocalist and lyricist Fredrik C.
The track ‘Stalingrad’ was soon featured on the popular compilations ‘Interbreeding X’ (BLC Productions) and ‘Endzeit Bunkertracks: Act IV’ (Alfa-Matrix), and quickly began to receive heavy club play around the world: bringing MENSCHDEFEKT to the attention of both DWA and Infacted Recordings.

Formed in 2005, in just a few short years VIGILANTE have already toured Europe twice, have had a ‘Best Of’ album released by major label Feria Music in their homeland Chile, and have played with acts such as NINE INCH NAILS, HOCICO and AGONOIZE.

Formed in the UK, INERTIA released their first MCD ‘Infiltrator’ on the German label Celtic Circle in 1995 to widespread critical acclaim.
As a result of the popularity of ‘Infiltrator’, between 1995-1996 INERTIA were invited to play across Europe - including an appearance at Wave Gotik Treffen 1996.
The success of their second MCD ‘Mind Energy’ and their debut album ‘Programmed To Respond’ (1997) in America led to INERTIA’s first full-length US tour, supporting DAS ICH.

Since 1997, INERTIA have returned to Wave Gotik Treffen (1999), have played several lengthy headline tours of the US (with support from acts such as TERRORFAKT and PROJECT-X), and have released a further 4 albums: ‘Negative Prime’ (1999), ‘Advanced Revelation’ (2002), ‘Black Ice Impact’ (2004), ‘Inertia’ (2007), plus 2 remix albums ‘Demagnetized/Remagnetized’ (1999), ‘Positive Angel’ (2000).

In 2006, the American label Cleopatra celebrated 10 years of INERTIA’s career in the EBM-genre by releasing a 2CD ‘Best Of…’ compilation ‘Decade Of Machines’: and INERTIA returned to the US to tour again, this time with legendary German electro outfit ARMAGEDDON DILDOS.

‘Interpret’ will initially be released EXCLUSIVELY in Japan by DWA: and subsequently worldwide and on digital download.

Some groups like SIVA SIX have successfully switched to the electro-industrial scene from origins in black metal. Like PSYCLON NINE before them, DAWN OF ASHES seem to currently be moving in the opposite direction: from dark electro to death metal.

Formed in 2004 as a collaboration between 2 of New York City’s top DJs, Rexx Arkana and Dräcos, FGFC820’s debut album ‘Urban Audio Warfare’ (2007) spent 8 weeks in the German DAC Top 10: peaking at #2 behind SKINNY PUPPY. Freshly returned to Japan from their latest marathon European tour to promote the Russian release of the album ‘The Death Of The Flesh’, Osaka-based SINS OF THE FLESH have now completed the first of 2 concept mini-albums based on tracks from that album (a 2nd, ‘Go To Hell’, is scheduled for release June 2009).

Gorgeously-packaged in a 6-panel digipak with 8-panel folding insert, the ‘F**k #1 – Extended Pleasure Pack’ is a release aimed firmly at the dancefloor: with 5 radically-different takes on the original track from SOTF supplemented by versions from Swiss electronica legend MIMETIC and Tokyo electro-industrial outfit 2BULLET, and 2 bonus ‘b-sides’!

The original version of ‘F**k #1’ was selected to appear on the coverdisc of #1 German gothic/industrial magazine ORKUS magazine in 2007, taken from SOTF’s ‘comeback’ album ‘The Death Of The Flesh’: released by Deathwatch Asia in 2007, and reissued in Russia by Shadowplay in 2008.

Since 2007, SOTF have travelled to Europe 3 times on tour, appearing in Germany, Holland, Finland, Russia and the UK with artists ranging from latest Avex signing AURAL VAMPIRE to rising stars of Canadian alternative rock THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE, and played at major genre festivals such as the UK’s longest-running Whitby Gothic Weekend and the headline slot at 3 nights of the Radio Inferno Festival (Helsinki, St Petersburg and Moscow).

TACTICAL SEKT is the harsh-EBM/dark electro outfit originally formed as a side-project by Anthony Mather of legendary UK industrial act ASLAN FACTION. ‘Syncope’ is TACTICAL SEKT’s seminal second full-length studio album, which reached #3 in the DAC (German Alternative Charts) on its original release in 2006/04.

Following the demise of ASLAN FACTION in 2003, TACTICAL SEKT released their debut album ‘Geneticide’, followed later that year by the EP ‘Burn Process’. DWA goes pop!

After 2 highly successful CDs for Infacted Recordings - ‘Here And Now’ (2006), the ‘Daydream’ EP (2007) - ‘That Night’ is the second full-length album from German synthpop sensation OBSCENITY TRIAL: and their first album for new label Major Records (home of IAMX, LADYTRON, MESH).

After nearly a 2-year wait, DEMONOID 13 finally return with the long-awaited follow-up to their super-heavy debut ‘GATE OF DEATH’.
Released through Deathwatch Asia at the end of 2006, ‘GATE OF DEATH’ has now almost sold out its original pressing, with only limited stocks remaining.

The first pressing of new CD ‘DEATH TO THE VULGAR LORD’ is issued in a beautiful gatefold digipak, featuring dark artwork from Nagoya tattoo artist Ryuji (Ryuji Tattoo Design): and limited to 500 copies.

Fans of ‘GATE OF DEATH’ will not be disappointed: as ‘DEATH TO THE VULGAR LORD’ picks up musically where ‘GATE OF DEATH’ left off.
Yet ‘DEATH TO THE VULGAR LORD’ is also a development: opening with the slower, more experimental ‘Sacrifice’ before building through ‘The Hidden Justice’ to stand-out hard-dance track ‘Slaughter In Heaven’.
From here on in, we are in familiar DEMONOID 13 territory, as the brutal beats continue unrelentingly through ‘Infernal Forces’, live favorite ‘Iconoclast’ and a 2008 re-working of the classic ‘Master of -D’ (from ‘GATE OF DEATH’).

Already wildly popular outside Japan, DEMONOID 13 have been featured in #1 German alternative magazine ORKUS, and in September 2008 made their European live debut as the headline act of Eastern Europe’s largest industrial-gothic festival: ‘Chorna Rada’ in Kiev (Ukraine).
